Earthquake Fundraising Match in Malaysia. CAN and Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) on Monday unveiled the logo for the Nepal Earthquake Fundraising Match to be held between Nepali national team and World XI in Malaysia later this year.Issuing a joint press release on Monday, CAN and MCA said that the match will be organized in Malaysia to raise funds for the recovery and rebuilding efforts following the earthquakes that devastated a large part of the country.
Much of our country has been hit by this earthquake and the following aftershocks, the scars are all around us. Now we need to look into the future and the long process of rebuilding. Malaysia's offer to organize this match on an annual basis is a kind gesture which shows that the relationship between the two nations goes beyond cricket," stated CAN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhawana Ghimire in the press release.
