The Disaster Management and Monitoring Committee of Legislature-Parliament has found 541 metric tonnes of “inedible” pulses in a godown of the World Food Programme in Nepalgunj.

The substandard food was found during an inspection at the WFP godown on the premises of the Cotton Development Committee in Khajura, Nepalgunj. The team led by lawmaker Sanjay Gautam inspected the WFP godowns in Nepalgunj on Saturday and Sunday. Gautam said that the pulses stored in the godown were unfit for consumption.
