Sudarshan Gautam is the first armless person to summit Mount Everest without the use of prosthetics. He reached the top of Mount Everest on May 20, 2013. Gautam was born in Bhauduri, a village in Ramechhap District of Nepal. Soon after his moving with his parents to Kathmandu he had an accident with a live power cable that led to the amputation of both of his arms.
