An unidentified gunman open shot fire killed nine people at a renowned black church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday. police said. While the suspect, a white gunman, is still at large. According to the police the suspect as a 21-year-old white man in a sweatshirt or hoodie and jeans, according to Charleston newspaper The Post and Courier. It cited unconfirmed reports that as many as eight people may have been hit by gunfire.Police presence was increased following the incident. The 19th-century church was once burned to the ground over some dispute but was rebuilt later.
