Families were evacuated from Baldy Mesa, California, on Friday after forest fires ripped through the area. Local resident Daniel Lone said he was evacuating as "the fire is moving pretty fast." The wildfire had been spreading across drought-stricken San Bernardino County since Friday morning and had already charred an estimated 3,500 acres of land on the surrounding foothills before reaching the local freeway.
