Animal rights activist group the 'Sea Shepherd Conservation Society' filmed the slaughter of up to 150 pilot whales during the traditional summer hunt on the beach of Bour, in the Faroe Islands, Friday. Two activists were arrested trying to disrupt the practice which, despite being illegal in the Denmark, is allowed to take place on the Faroe Islands. Although the islands are self-governing they are financially reliant on Denmark.
