MIDLOTHIAN, TEXAS — An attempted gas station robbery was stopped after ex-Marine Daniel Gaskey stepped in to take down the 19-year-old would-be robber. Dylan Bearden was seen going inside the gas station convenience store armed with a knife and pushed Gaskey to the side. When Gaskey, who is currently a firefighter, realized what was going on, he grabbed Bearden from behind and slammed him to the floor, after which he unmasked and disarmed the teenager. Gaskey held Bearden until the cops showed up. Nobody was reported injured during the incident. The attempted hold up happened in June, but the footage was released just recently by the Midlothian Police Department on July 14. Bearden was charged with aggravated robbery.
