Generally Nepali migrant workers are forced to pay fees to recruiting agencies. Qatar is the second largest work destination for Nepalis after Malaysia. Tek Bahadur Gurung, a member of Nepali Congress the Minister for Labour and Employment of Nepal has asked Qatar to make it binding for employers to bear the commission paid to the recruiting agencies. The agreement between Nepal and Qatar government is trying to create a cost-free hiring for Nepalis worker in Qatar. The research shows Qatar is the second largest work destination for Nepalis after Malaysia.
