The Supreme Court on Friday said the mobilization of Nepal Army in some districts was constitutional. SUPREME COURTIn response to a writ petition filed at SC, demanding the recall of the army persons mobilized in different riot-hit districts after the Tikapur incident reasoning it was unconstitutional, the SC said the Parliament is independent on taking decision on the activities in it and SC’s interference on it was not warranted. A single bench of Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha argued that there were no points to prove that the army mobilization was unconstitutional. Advocate Roshan Kumar Jha and Yam Kumar Yonjan in the writ petition on Wednesday had demanded the cancellation of government decision to mobilize army persons. RSS
