Police on Thursday arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a 12-year-old murder of five persons in Badikhel-6 of Lalitpur. Chandra Bahadur Pahari (63), a resident of Jhaukhel in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur, was arrested from Changunarayan today. Police claimed that Pahari on October 3, 2003 had slit throats of his own younger sister Dhan Kumari Nagarkoti (30), brother-in-law Bhanu (36), and their children Rabindra (13), Luri (10) and Tukuli (8). Following some disputes between his wife and sister Dhan Kumari, Pahari had resorted to killing own sister, brother-in-law, two nieces and a nephew, according to police. The suspect has been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, for further investigation and action.RSS
