Banda enforcers have torched three vehicles at Basabasahi in Nawalparasi district on Sunday morning.Markets, schools, colleges, business enterprises have remained closed due to the general strike. A few motorcycles, private vehicles and emergency means of vehicles including ambulances, vehicles belonging to the Press and diplomatic missions are plying on the road. Two trucks including one with registration number, Na 3 Kha 6926, and another truck with unidentified registration number as well as a pickup van, Ba 10 Cha, 3313, on fire. A group of CPN-M cadres clashed with police in Ratnapark area this morning. The clash ensued as police tried to arrest the CPN-M cadres who allegedly threatened people to shut their shops down.
