The Sanghiya Limbuwan Party imposed a banda in the eastern districts Thursday, demanding nine eastern districts to be declared the Limbuwan State in the new federal set-up. As a result, the transportation of short and long routes to and from the districts has remained off the road. The party has been demanding that nine eastern districts including Sankhuwasabha, Dhankuta, Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung and Tehrathum should be made Limbuwan State in the six-state federal set-up.
