UCPN (Maoist) Dina Nath Sharma on army called out in Kailali district

UCPN (Maoist) Spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma disagree on army called out in Kailali district. Dina Nath Sharma is a Nepalese politician. In 1999 he led a revolt within the Communist Party of Nepal (Masal) against the party leadership.

On April 6, 1999 Sharma split from the party and constituted his own parallel Communist Party of Nepal (Masal). Sharma's party called for boycott of elections and supported the armed struggle. Soon after the split Sharma's party merged with the Communist Party of Nepal. Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam informed the parliament that the meeting of security council decided to mobilize NA in Tikapur of Kailali, Malangawa of Sarlahi and Gaur of Rautahat. At least eight police officers have been killed in western Nepal in clashes during demonstrations over a proposed new constitution, officials say. There were reports that three protesters and a child were also killed in Kailali district on Monday. Government Administrator Raj Kumar Shrestha said thousands of protesters attacked with spears, knives and stones police officers trying to enforce a curfew.The government has decided to deploy Nepal Army (NA) in conflict-affected areas in different parts the country. Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam informed the parliament that the meeting of security council decided to mobilize NA in Tikapur of Kailali, Malangawa of Sarlahi and Gaur of Rautahat. Minister Gautam said that the council concluded that Nepal Police & Armed Police Force alone can't control and army needed to be mobilized.
