35 people have been reported dead in landslides triggered by incessant rainfall last night in Tamagi and Lumle VDCs of Kaski district. Landslides triggered by incessant rainfall have affected three VDCs of Kaski -- Lumle, Bhadaure Tamagi and Dhikur Pokhari. The landslide debris which had obstructed the Pokhara-Baglung Highway since Wednesday night has been cleared Friday afternoon. The two deceased recovered on Friday have been identified as Siyodhari Devkota, 81 and five-month-old Anjali Sherpa from Lumle VDC-6, informed DSP Kedar Rajaure at the District Police Office (DPO), Kaski.According to Nagadanda police post In-charge Gyan Prasad Lamichhane, four members of the family of Basant BK including his wife and two grand children died when their house was buried in the mud slip. The landslides that took place in Lumle VDC-4 and 6 had buried 15 houses in the area and security personnel involved in the rescue operation fear more casualties. Watch video News for details.
