CIAA decides to request PM to take action against Energy Minister Gyawali

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has recommended action against Energy Minister Radha Gyawali and some officials of the Nepal Electricity Authority for allegedly misappropriating crores in relation to Solu Corridor Transmission Line Project. CIAA said the decision will put additional financial burden of Rs 270 million on Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The anti-grant body recommended the PM Sushil Koirala to take action against Gyawali and NEA officials for their alleged involvement in corruption of finance amounting to over 26 crores.
