The CA hall was abuzz with applauses as president Yadav announced new statute.

Addressing on the historic occasion, President Yadav remarked that he concept of 'people as the sovereign' has been established through this constitution, adding that republicanism has been institutionalized. He further called for unity and cooperation of all at this historic moment. The new constitution has taken drastic departures in comparison to the Constitution of Nepal-1990 that adopted multiparty democratic system with monarchy as head of the state.
