Several race cars caught fire during a dramatic crash at Nova Scotia’s Riverside International Speedway on Saturday, September 12. The driver of racing car nine, local John Delorey, was hospitalized with fluid in his lungs. There were no fatalities.

Nova Scotia is one of eastern Canada's Maritime provinces on the Atlantic. With numerous lakes and long coastlines, it's home to puffins and seals, and popular for water sports such as kayaking. The Bay of Fundy, with its famously extreme tides, is a whale-watching destination. Halifax, the capital, dominated by the star-shaped Citadel, is known for its lively waterfront and Victorian-era Public Gardens.
