12 NOC tankers enter Rasuwa to load grant fuel

Posted by Anup Baral October 30, 2015 :
Nepal will be dispatching fuel tankers to Kyirong of China tomorrow to bring in petrol that China has given in the form of grant assistance. The Chinese side today asked Nepal Oil Corporation to send tankers to bring 1,000 tonnes of petrol that the Chinese government is providing as grant assistance to fuel-strapped Nepal to ease the crippling fuel shortage caused by vehicular obstruction on the Nepal-India border.

The shortage of petroleum products has hit the Nepalese economy very hard and brought many economic activities to a grinding halt for the past month. NOC Spokesperson Deepak Baral today said NOC officials will also be going to Kyirong to facilitate loading and customs clearance for the Nepali fuel tankers.
