The father of a boy born without a portion of his brain and skull says his son "deserves a chance" to live with his challenging condition. Baby Jaxon Emmett Buell was given only days to live. He was born with a rare condition called Anencephaly. It's a neural tube birth defect in which a child is born without parts of the brain and skull. However, Baby Jaxon survived the impossible and became an inspiration across the United states. Family: We have begun to give back in any way that we can, from sending out donations to non-profit organizations, who have either considerably helped Jaxon and our family over the past 13+ months, or who are directly linked to Jaxon's condition and diagnosis. We are very passionate in these efforts for the benefit of medical research and for other families that may walk a similar path as us in the future.
