KP Oli Expands Cabinet by inducting 9 New Ministers

President Yadav administered the oath of office and secrecy to including Top Bahadur Rayamajhi to the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy; along with other ministers in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.The new ministers took oath of office and secrecy from the country's President Dr Ram Baran Yadav amidst a function held at the Sheetalniwas in Kathmandu the same day. According to the President's Office, UCPN (Maoist) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been appointed as deputy prime minister and energy minister, while Shakti Basnet became the minister for home affairs. Giriraj Mani Pokharel became education minister and Agni Sapkota forest minister. Umesh Yadav took the post of irrigation minister, Rekha Sharma, minister for general administration and Ganesh Man Pun, minister for commerce and supplies. Prime Minister Oli also inducted MJF (D) leader Ram Janam Chaudhary and Bahujan Samajwadi Party leader Biswendra Paswan as the new ministers. With the appointment of the nine ministers, the number of ministers has become 17. This is the first government formed under the country's new constitution.
