Nepal to play Pakistan in 50-over game

The Nepal cricket team are set to face one of their biggest tests in recent times when they face Pakistan in a one-off one-dayer in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November later this year.The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set the match against Pakistan squad which will be hosting England for three Tests, four ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals. Nepal will play Pakistan after the third Test between the two giants concludes in Sharjah on November 8. Coach Pubudu Dassanayake confirmed about the clash against Pakistan but said he was unaware of the nature of Pakistan squad. “We are yet to get confirmation about the squad that we are going to play but playing against even an ‘A’ team from a Test-playing side is big opportunity for us,” said Dassanayake. Before starting the ODI series on November 11, both England and Pakistan will play one practice match each on November 8. England will take on Hong Kong on the same day.The Pakistan cricket team have returned from their Zimbabwe tour in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming fixtures against England, which include three Tests, four One-Day International (ODI) and three T20Is. Misbah-ul-Haq will be captaining the Test squad, with the veteran hinting towards his possible retirement after the series should he prosper with the bat. The match between Nepal and Pakistan is scheduled for November 8 at the Abu Dhabi2 grounds. Pakistan will be in the UAE for their home series against England from October 13 to November 30, while Nepal will fly to Abu Dhabi for the WCL Championship matches against Papua New Guinea slated for November 16 and 18.
