Non-Resident Nepalese in Japan staged a demonstration in Tokyo against the unannounced blockade imposed by India on Thursday. A large number of Nepali people, residing in different towns of Japan, came together in front of the Indian Embassy at Kudanshita, and demonstrated against the India's by staging sit-in, displaying different placards decrying India’s move.
They chanted slogans calling on the Indian side not to interfere in internal affairs of Nepal and to respect its sovereignty and international laws. A delegation headed by Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan submitted a memorandum to the Indian Embassy, calling for an end to the blockade against Nepal. Receiving the memorandum, India's Ambassador to Japan, Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, pledged her best to help end the problem through a diplomatic process. NRNA Japan Vice President Bhatta has called on the world community to join hands with the campaign launched by it against India's interference in Nepal's internal affairs. RSS
