The Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti (Calendar Determination Committee) has determined 10:55 am as the most auspicious time for receiving tika in this Dashain. According to the Samiti, the auspicious time for Gatasthapana, the first day of the 10-day celebration, is at 11:25 am on 13 October. Chairperson of the committee, Prof Dr Ramchandra Gautam, shared that 11:35 am on 14 October is the most auspicious time to replace the national flag with the new one at the government offices and Nepal Army's offices. Similarly, the process of the Pachali Bhairab deity falls on 18 October and the Goddess Tulaja Bhawani at 10: 55 am on 20 October, the day of Phulpati.
