Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that Nepal’s current standoff should be resolved through dialogue.
The existing problem facing the country would be resolved soon, leader Deuba asserted while addressing a talk programme ‘Federal Democratic Republic Constitution and Challenges’ organized here today by the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Memorial Foundation to mark the International Non-violence Day and 146th Gandhi Jayanti, Noting that normal life in Nepal has been adversely affected due to disruption of the transportation of good from India, he said the Indian government should ensure smooth flow of goods blocked at the customs points soon.
Nepali leader Mahendra Narayan Nidhi has reinforced and imparted the message of Mahatma Gandhi that non-violence is the surest way to get genuine demands addressed which is still relevant in today’s Nepal. Also, on the occasion, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bimalendra Nidhi said the ideals adopted by the late Nidhi such as non-violence and simplicity are still demanding in Nepali political situation.
He also expressed confidence that the crisis undergoing in the country would be settled soon. Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae said the age-old cordial relations between Nepal and India would further strengthened and the current complications would be removed soon.
