The Belgian government maintains the highest alert level for Brussels for a third day. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel warned of a "serious and imminent" threat of attacks similar to the one that killed 129 people in Paris. The prime minister announced late on Sunday that schools and the metro system will be closed on Monday. He also said big events in busy areas will be halted, and police and military force presence will be reinforced.
