The irate cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) set ablaze a police post this morning in protest of the deaths of three demonstrators in police firing on Saturday. The protestors torched the police post in Koladi Basain-1 of the district, said District Chairperson of Rastriya Samajbadi Party Gajendra Mandal. Demonstrators who intensified their protests all through Sunday following the deaths late on Saturday night, continued demonstrations in different parts of the district since early on Monday including in district headquarters Rajbiraj. The Saptari district administration has imposed curfew in Rajbiraj and area from Koshi Barrage to Balan rivulet in the west along the East-West Highway for an indefinite period. RSS
