Cow being a revered animal of Hinduism in Nepal is a symbol that we Nepalese are modest, simple and very tolerant. I believe we all Nepalese are modest yet bold, simple yet hight thinker, tolerant yet brave and fierce. Now question is that "Is our national animal representing us & what we are properly?". I guess to some extent, YES!!! If any of our Nepalese fellow read this please write your views. If you think our national animal should be changed, what should it be changed to and also please enlighten with reasons.Nepal is a Hindu majority nation, and cows are considered to be sacred by Hindus. So I was just wondering, if beef is forbidden in Nepal?Killing a cow is illegal in Nepal. Recently in Dec 2014 somebody got sentenced to 12 years in prison by Dang district court. But Buffalo is ok to kill. 'Buffalo beef' is widely consumed in Nepal.
