"KP Sharma Oli secured 338 of the 587 votes cast, giving him a majority," Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang announced at parliament.
Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Chairman NarayanMan Bijukchhe argues that the talks could not solve the ongoing tension in Tarai region. He was of the view that the government should mobilise army in the region to control the protests as few feudal lords led the protests after being defeated from people. Explaining that people living in the Tarai-Madhes region were worst hit by the current tension, he said the agitating parties were not advocating rights of people.
