Team of Nepali Artists reached Indian Embassy against sanctions

Posted by Anup Baral November 23, 2015
The Film Artists National Awakening Campaign Nepal submitted a memo to Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae on Monday demanding that the undeclared blockade by India be withdrawn. Urging the Ambassador to not spoil the age-old cultural, religious and social relations between the two countries, the Campaign said Nepal always wishes for the good of India, and neither Nepal nor Nepalis can be against India. Stating that the film sector too was affected along with health, education and other sectors of the country due to the blockade, the memo appeals to India to look Nepal from the humanitarian perspective, which shows that the blockade is unjust. The campaign is also organising a pressure exerting march on Tuesday with the participation of media person, political cadres and various professional include cine artists, according to its member KP Pathak.
