Responding to the latest violent protests in Nepal, the United States has urged all the Nepali stakeholders to engage in the democratic process through peaceful, nonviolent means. Speaking at a regular press briefing in Washington DC on Monday, Elizabeth Trudeau the Director of Press Office, said, “We are aware of the reports (of violence). We’re closely following the situation in Nepal. We extend our condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. We encourage all Nepalese to continue to engage in the democratic process through peaceful, nonviolent means.”
