Violent weather and winter tornadoes have killed at least 11 people across the South. From Arkansas to Michigan, the unusually warm weather for the winter season has led to storms more commonly seen in the spring. Torrential rains have flooded roads in Alabama while causing a mudslide in the mountains of Georgia. So far, authorities in Mississippi have confirmed seven dead. Three more fatalities have been cited in Tennessee with another in Arkansas. Search teams have combed damaged homes and businesses during a time of the year complicated due to Holiday celebrations and travel.
