Delhi Protest Outside Nepal Embassy against Nepal's Constitution

December 6, 2015. leaders of the Madeshi community, whose protests against Nepal’s new constitution has virtually sealed the India-Nepal border, reached New Delhi on Sunday to meet Indian leaders. The visit comes close on the heels of the visit of Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa. Also, Nepalese protesting Outside Nepal Embassy in New Delhi, India against the newly promulgated Constitution of Nepal.Indian Media reports: Indian border blockade may work against India; Nepal may again be used for terrorist activities. “Nepal is currently at the receiving end of an unofficial blockade. But this is the time for us to find an alternative,” he was quoted as saying by local media. “Our close neighbour has opened our eyes. I will render efforts to bail the country out of the existing crisis, maintaining our national independence, dignity and national integrity,” he said.India’s Office of the Prime Minister tweeted that Modi also expressed his shock over and condemned the incident.Expressing his concern over the death of an Indian national in a violent protest in Birgunj of Nepal today, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening called up Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and requested for details of the case. An Indian youth, Aashish Kumar Ram, from Raxaul of Bihar state of India, was killed when Nepali police personnel opened fire on protesters to control the situation in Birgunj of Parsa district, bordering Raxaul, this afternoon. India’s Office of the Prime Minister tweeted that Modi also expressed his shock over and condemned the incident.
