Wrapping up its six-day official visit to China, the high-level Nepali delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, returned home on Tuesday. Upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning, Deputy Prime Minister Thapa said that the two countries have succeeded in drawing a sketch of the economic relationship between Nepal and China as a strong basis for the framework of economic development, connectivity and infrastructure development has been built during the visit. He highlighted the the discussion on agreement for trade on petroleum products, transit treaty, Bilateral Investment Protection and Promotion Agreement (BIPPA) and Free Trade Agreement between the two countries as major achievements. Thapa informed that China has agreed to provide 13,00,000 litres of petroleum products to Nepal as grant assistance. Earlier also, China had provided equal volume of fuel for free.
