Fire broke out at the house of journalist Rishi Dhamala on Sunday morning when an inverter exploded. Property worth Rs 5 lakhs was damaged. The inverter placed at the building's third floor suddenly exploded, causing fire that gutted refrigerator, wardrobe and clothes, among other things. Fire brigades, police and locals doused the fire.
