The government has initiated the process of amending laws and regulations, which are inconsistent with the newly adopted constitution. Also, the Legislature-Parliament has directed the government to inform the House about the mistreatment to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Ram Janaki Temple in Janakpur on the occasion of Bibah Panchami. Speaker Onsari Gharti directed the government to inform about the incident in the next meeting after lawmakers demanding time at today's meeting objected over the mistreatment to the President. Speaker Gharti said, "I ask the government to inform the next meeting of the Parliament about the mistreatment to the President in Janakpur as parliamentarians have objected it." Seeking time in the beginning of the meeting, Nepali Congress lawmaker Ramhari Khatiwada objected over the misbehaviour to the President and demanded investigation over black marketing, saying black marketing and corruption are taking place in the country and some 300 petrol pumps are in operation in the name of leaders. Similarly, CPN (UML) lawmaker Sushila Nepal said that although the new constitution has mentioned that there would be no discrimination to anyone on the basis of caste and gender, cadres of Madhesi Morcha mistreated to President Bhandari. Nepal said, "The incident of mistreatment to the President is an affront to all the Nepali women and the women of the world."
