On the occasion of the 60th Crime Investigation Day, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Upendra Kanta Aryal inaugurated the technology amid a programme held at the Police Headquarters at Naxal. IGP Aryal said that the technology is installed in an attempt to modernise and well-equip the Nepal Police. According to IGP Aryal, this state-of-the-art-technology will help Police combat crimes through the scientific, evidence-based investigation as many as 90 per cent of criminal activities at present occur with the use of some form of information technology.
