Saptari hospitals closed for last 21 days

Doctors, health workers and hospital staffs staged a protest in Rajbiraj on Friday demanding suspension of Saptari police chief and others. The protest was organized to put pressure on the local authorities with the participation of patients, who were brought on carts, with the protesting health staff tending to their medical needs. Related Post: The Customs Department has confiscated different medicines worth over Rs 600 million from the Tribhuvan International Airport store. These medicines were provided by different international helping hands for the quake survivors after the April 25 earthquake and several aftershocks. These medicines were handed over to the Ministry of Health on Wednesday. Health Secretary Shanta Bahadur Shrestha, in today’s meeting of the Women, Children, Senior Citizen and Social Welfare Committee, informed that the medicines would be brought in use very soon after studying the details of the medicines. Similarly, lawmakers at the committee Badri Pandey, Anuradha Thapa Magar, Anandi Panta, Laxman Rajbanshi, Rita Rawal, Nisha Kumari Shah, Jayanti Rai, Shree Maya Thakali among others have urged the government to arrange needy medicines to the hospitals and people.
