Police have arrested 3 Indian persons on charges of smuggling illegal 9 kg gold from China on Thursday night. SSP Sarbendra Khanal of Crime Division informed that the police arrested Bikram Mittal and Bijay Mittal of West Bengal, India along with Bhagirath Chaudhary of Rajasthan from the Capital yesterday night. The Mittals are the homeowners of Bhagya Laxmi Jewellers shop in Katmandu. Police have recovered eight kilogram gold from Mittals and one kilogram gold from Chaudhari. SSP Khanal aforesaid that the arrestees, in their statement, aforesaid that they used to smuggle gold from China and sell it from Kalanki.
