UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who was a kingmaker behind KP Sharma Oli’s election to the post of Prime Minister, on Sunday proposed that the nation now needed a national consensus government.Dahal said the three major parties would very soon sign an agreement with the protesting United Democratic Madhesi Front, giving an end to the months-long political stalemate and supply obstructions at the Nepal-India border points. A national unity government was needed to facilitate an amendment to the Constitution, implement the new national law and carry out reconstruction tasks in the aftermath of the earthquake, Dahal said speaking with journalists in Dhangadhi of Kailali today.
