Police has captured a man on charge of manufacturing driving licenses from his leased level at Ason in Kathmandu. Milan Lama, 40, of Kavre was discovered with recently fashioned driving licenses, seven multi dimensional image stickers and two stamps of the Department of Transport Management (Dotm). Police say the gang, during its years in operation, regularly made financial transactions with DTM employees, adding that the employees had been bribed for every fake licence made. “The preliminary investigation and statements of the convicts suggest the fake driving licences were taken to the DTM Office for a valid stamp,” Police said, adding that the gang had been making as many as 12 fake driving licenses a day. A police group from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchour, had assaulted Lama's home after activity officers usurped a fake driving permit amid a normal check at Sorhakhutte. The permit holder uncovered amid investigation that he had purchased the record from Lama.
