Snowfall and hailstorm has made miserable condition to the earthquake victims in Gorkha. Sheds of earthquake victims are covered by snow in Gupsipakha, Laprak. Barpak village, which was also the earthquake center, has also been affected by snowfall. Because of the hailstorm and the snowfall, temperature has gone tremendously down.
Snowfall following rain and hailstorm that battered Laprak, Barpak and Ghyachchok of Gorkha district last night has affected the normal life of the people, especially the earthquake survivors. Barpak was lashed by hailstone and rain since 9 pm while Laprak and Ghyachchok were battered by hailstone since 11 pm Friday. Rainfall has occurred throughout the night in the area, a local said on the phone. “The mercury has plunged following the rain and hailstone, increasing the cold. People in these areas have not been able to come out of house and go for work.
