Felda United have pledged to give their best at the Bangabandhu 2016 Gold Cup Football tournament from Jan 8 to 20 in Bangladesh. The Felda United team is placed in the group A along with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Felda United under coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim are hoping to lift at least one trophy next season. Apart from the two new signings, Felda United has retained two of its former imports Thiago Augusto Fernandes from Brazil and Zah Rahan Krangar from Liberia together with new local signings Shukor Jusoh, Idris Ahmad and Mohammad Ridzuan Abdunlo.
Felda United will be facing Nepal on Jan 9 in their first match at Shams-Ul-Huda Stadium, Jessore, before meeting Bangladesh (Jan 12) and Sri Lanka (Jan 14).
