Mechi Eye Hospital has been able to expand its support service by construction of cafeteria and paying ward in 2014 which is expected to complete in 2015. Further, it has launched a two-year anterior segment fellowship for fresh Ophthalmologists. In addition to this, we are also able to provide short-term training to ophthalmologists from overseas. But, the hospital has observed insignificant decline in patient flow i.e. 2.25%. However, there is 2.38% increase in surgery especially in cataract surgery under phacoemulsification technique. We are able to achieve & in fact exceed our targets in outreach program due to utmost priority. In addition to this, we have also exceeded target in free of cost service for pediatric surgery & spectacles. We have also achieved good result in retina services both diagnostic & surgical. Thus, the total performance of the program is still observing a positive growth.
