A youth was shot dead by an unidentified group here in Kapilvastuon Thursday night. According to police, a motorcycle-borne gang of two people opened fires and shot dead Rajesh Sen. The assailants fired a total of four shots at him and fled toward west from the East-west highway. Sen, who received bullets to his chest, breathed his last during the treatment at Lumbini Zonal Hospital.
Protesting over the incident, local have obstructed the East-West Highway. According to DSP Dilli Raj Bhatta, police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprit.
