Doctors monitoring the heath of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, who has been receiving treatment for tongue cancer, confirmed on Tuesday that a small black spot was noticed in his lungs in a CT examination.
He is scheduled to fly to the United States of America for the treatment of the cancer of his tongue on Thursday. The 73-yr-old Congress leader Koirala will undergo follow-up examination at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He had an operation of cancer at the same hospital few years ago. Prime Minister Koirala is to stay in New York for for about two weeks. Recently, another member of the Koirala family, actress Manish Koirala, had undergone three-month long treatment of uterus cancer. She has reportedly recovered fully.
