In an unexpected move, the ruling CPN-UML recalled two of its ministers from the Cabinet on Friday. The reason behind the replacement of Tourism Minister Bhim Acharya and Industry Minister Karna Bahadur Thapa remains unknown. In a cabinet reshuffle late on Friday, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala's coalition partner CPN (UML) changed the heads of two ministries in its share. UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal met Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Friday afternoon before the announcement. Acharya is a relative of Khanal while Thapa is an Oli loyalist. The new faces—Amatya and Basnet—also belong to the Khanal and Oli camps.
