Hundreds of Nepali workers in Malaysia are now jobless

370 Nepalies workes are now jobless after plastiv company was shutdown in Malayasia. They couldn't travel back to Nepal bevause they don't have their passport with them. It is yet unknown why the company is closed. Huge nymber of Nepali worker migrate Malayasia seeking job oppertunity in Malayasia. Altogether 1,959 Nepali migrant workers staying in Malaysia illegally have returned home after surrendering before Malaysia’s Immigration Department in the last six months. According to a news published in a local daily, some 15,109 illegal migrant worker from various countries including Nepal had surrendered before the Immigration Department between the months of January and June this year and returned to their respective countries.Malaysia has emerged as a new death bed for Nepali migrant workers leaving Saudi Arabia far behind. About 113 Nepali migrant workers lost their lives in the destination in the last six months, according to Foreign Employment Promotion Board. Last year Saudi Arabia claimed 85 lives followed by Qatar (73), the United Arab Emirates (22) and Kuwait (seven). About eight Nepali migrant workers died in the South Korea — the most lucrative job destination among the preferred foreign job markets in recent days.
