Nepal Police appoint Superintendent of Police Pushkar Karki as the new in-charge of Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka in Arpil. The decision came into effect on Tuesday. According to DIGP Nawa Raj Dhakal, the incumbent MPR chief Pushkar Karki was recalled by the headquarters citing his failure to check and solve the increasing criminal activities, murders and shooting incidents. Karki will now be working in the Interpol Section. Rijal was working in the Employees’ Administrative Section of Nepal Police under Department of Human Resource Development. Don Chari was also killed after SSP Pushkar Karki became in charge of Metropolitan Police Range. Head of crime branch, SSP Pushkar Karki told that Chari was killed by the bullet of police.’We got news that a person having weapons is riding bike. So we were following him”, said Karki, “When he shoot the police, then in reoly he was shot and fell down. After falling down then we knew that he was Chari.” According to him, police fired 8 round bullets on him. He was shot on his stomach and chest.
