Why Ebola is so dangerous?

Posted by Rajesh KC October 10, 2014 :

Fears that the Ebola outbreak will spread globally rose on Thursday with the deteriorating health of an infected Spanish nurse, a British man who died in Macedonia being tested for the virus and more demands by U.S. lawmakers for travel bans. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that a patient being treated at a Dallas hospital has tested positive for Ebola, the first case diagnosed in the United States.A Texas patient who recently traveled to Liberia has the first confirmed case of the deadly disease in the US.The most recent outbreak of Ebola has claimed more than 3,000 lives in West Africa, and Liberia has been particularly hard hit.Doctors and health officials couldn't release more details about the patient, but they did note that there are no other known cases in Texas.Health officials are now looking to “identify all people who may have had contact with the patient while he could’ve been infectious,” Frieden said.
