One person have died of swine flu in Nepal. More then 35 people are reported to be indicted of swine flu. Ten people tested positive in the capital, Kathmandu, and four people in the southern district of Chitwan, according to the government's public health laboratory report. Of the infected, five had arrived from India recently. One person was said to be in critical condition.

High alertness has been adopted against swine-flu at southern border points of Dhanusha and Mahottari districts after the disease has spread in different places of India in recent days.

The local authorities have intensified health check up at the border points, said Dhanusha Armed Police Force (APF) chief Rabindra Kumar Thakur.

However, deputed security personnel in the border points were found in dilemma as they did not have any idea about the disease for no health desks were set up there. However, Chiefs at the District Health Office, Dhanusha and Mahottari, Sachitanada Dev and Dr Ram Parikshan Yadav respectively, said that they have any directives to set up the health desks at the border points. Over 800 people have died due to swine-flu in India and five people have been found infected in Nepal so far.
